I will be the biggest looser

So the hospital that I work at will soon be starting up a Biggest Looser competition from January 12th to the end of May. On staff will be a dietitian and a personal trainer to consult with. Whoever has lost the most weight in that time frame wins $300. I plan on participating and believe that I have a very good chance at winning. For me this means I need to get my will power in check, I need to cut back on the oh-so-loved sweets and cut back on soda. I'm not too worried about the soda part considering that all I drink at work is water, I just need to drink water while at home. I am however worried about the sweets part...I am very aware of my sweet tooth and know that it has gotten me in trouble. I just need to kick it in the butt and buckle down. Even when the competition is over if I am not the winner I know I will still be a winner because I will have tried. I hope everyone that reads this will help to be a support for me, I know I will need it. Words of encouragement will be much appreciated. Happy New Year everyone!

I'm actually ready!!!

I can't believe that the Holiday season is here already, but this year feels drastically different. I'm actually excited about the season! I haven't really felt like celebrating the holiday's for the last few years, and I blame a big deal of it on my retail job. It really did drain me of any magical feelings I held for the holiday's. This year I find myself listening to Christmas music and not gagging, watching the old movies and not having the desire to roll my eyes and turning them off.

The last few years I worked at Toys R Us and I dreaded the Christmas season, I don't know what it is about this time of year that makes people so angry and disrespectful. The attitudes of customers really seemed to determine my mood, I worked long hours, was underpayed, and just over-all was not in the Holiday spirit. It amazes me how hateful people can be this time of year, especially when it comes to their shopping! Everytime I go into a store I try and be as pleasent as possible, even though the clerks and other associates may not be.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm just excited, excited to see family and just spend time with them. That's all I really want for Christmas, the preasents are just a nice bonus :). HAPPY HOLIDAY'S EVERYONE!

My Christmas List

So I've had several people inquiring as to what I want for Christmas. So here's my list, in no particular order.

1. I could always use clothes (shirts tend to run in size 22-24 or 26-28 and pants vary.)
2. New ear phones for my MP3 player
3. Books or Gift card for books (i'm interested in reading the twilight series and biographys about people like the Kennedy's or Mark Twain)
4. New Tennis Shoes
5. Board Games
6. CD's (Beyonnce, Pink, anything else you can think of)
7. It may seem impersonal....but I am always up for gift cards (and don't worry I won't think of you any differently)
